Yves Saint Laurent and Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne Gets Grunged In Saint Laurent Fall 2013 Campaign Alongside Cole Smith

ara Delevingne walked in almost every single Autumn 2013 show, stomping down the catwalk for Chanel, Burberry, Versace so it's not surprising she's the campaign girl every designer wants to bag so three cheers to Saint Laurent who've tapped her eyebrow-tastic charms. Yes, we're rather excited to see that Cara is the face of the brand's Autumn 2013 campaign, which has just landed in our inbox.
The mega model slipped into fishnets and biker boots to star in the stormy SL ads alongside DIIV’s Cole Smith - a rocker with a good head of hair. The Autumn 2013 Saint Laurent collection looked strong and smelt like teen spirit when it hit the catwalk in February, inspired by '90s rock bad girls from Courtney Love to Sioux Banshee. And in the campaign, shot by Mr Hedi Slimane himself, Cara pulls off the California grunge look to perfection.
She looks out to the sea in a floral babydoll with biker boots and then slumps on the floor in a tuxedo jacket, fishnets, a leather mini and fishnets. It's all very 'I'm with the band and haven't slept for a week.'

This is Hedi's first autumn winter campaign since he joined Saint Laurent in March 2012. Cara is an obvious choice to front the latest SL campaign, as she walked in the show back in February at Paris Fashion week in a grey duffel coat and biker boots with her hair all scruffed up. Plus she is the face of YSL Beauty's Baby Doll mascara.
Hedi has chosen established musicians as his Saint Laurent campaign stars, as he selected Beck, Marilyn Manson, Daft Punk and Sky Ferreira to front their previous collections. Cara has made it clear that she wants to eventually move to the music industry, so perhaps Hedi is giving her his stamp of approval by letting her join his crew of all-singing campaign stars.
